“Lock-Mon: the Hardcore Horror, Nuzlocke-style Monster Collection game where your run can be over before the tutorial is over. It starts out innocent at first and the creatures and subject matter get more unsettling and then disturbing over time until everything is unrecognizable from your standard monster collecting game. Gameplay rules are broken, the genre switches, and the monsters go from cute and kid friendly to adult themed and humanoid in design and purpose.”
